About This Chapter
The next morning, Ganymede is still in a coma, and the doctor tells him that he should go to the hospital immediately. He says that he has come to see the doctor because he is worried about Gany's health, but he does not want to be seen as a fool. The doctor says that the girl is in a good condition, but that she will not be well for a long time. Ganyeman tells the doctor that he is angry because he did not come to the tent to see him last night, and because the girl has been in the coma all night. He is angry that she is being treated like a baby, and that she has not been treated with the same respect as a child. He tells her that when he was at the lake the night before, he was very happy to see her, but when she passed away, he panicked, and did not speak to her. He believes that many of his previous assumptions were false, and he says that this is the first time he has understood what he has been thinking. He explains that he had been treating the girl like a "treasure," but he has now realized that she can "hook your soul away" with a "casual hook" of her fingers.
