The protagonist tells us that he's been thinking about his crush all along, and that he just wants to let her know that she's in love with someone else. He's even gone so far as to kiss her on the cheek, just so she'll know that he loves her. He tells us, however, that the kiss wasn't meant to hurt him, but to let his crush know that they're in love. He also says that the girl he kissed was "that handsome kid a -- her -- note -- the roland- grammar of -- him -- and -- her note -- is completely different -- just like the difference between 'him' and 'her' in English." Translation: the guy who kissed her was a girl, and the girl who kissed him was a boy. The scene ends with the protagonist apologizing to the reader, saying that he was just trying to let the girl see that she loves him.
