In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, the wolf-dog, who is a loyal customer of the shop. He is a bit of a mystery to us, since he is so obviously a wolf, but he is still able to communicate with the shop's owner, the owner's daughter, and the wolf's father. The owner, however, is a little confused by this new character and does not seem to know what to do with the wolf. He tries to explain to the wolf that he has come to the shop because of a special picture, but the wolf is not so sure. When the wolf asks him what is wrong, he says that he is going to kill the wolf now that the wolf has eaten.
