He tells them that he is using his rifle to kill the early birds, and that they should know that he uses his rifle just to kill them. He then launches into a long speech about how his rifle is a cannon, and how it can guarantee that the bullet is going to hit the king. He also tells the audience that he has seen the king's son, who is standing on top of a small hill, and he is sure that the shot will definitely hit him.
