The next morning, the girls dig a big hole in the wall and build a mecha that looks like the Union army's mecha. The power engine is the final part of the mecha, and it looks like it's going to be able to power the escape from the hole. They're ready to go, but the hole is too big for the power engine to fit in, so they're going to have to move it to another room. The girls are psyched, but they can't seem to get the hole open fast enough. The enemy patrol squad is right ahead of them, and they see them running toward the base. They think they are in the patrol squad too, so the escape is safe.
