In this chapter, Ren tells us that the baby girl never cares about the baby boy again. He says that every time he tried to get her attention again, the boy would become silly, lecherous, obscene, mean, cunning, and broken. Ren says that the boy knows that there is one thing he can never make again, and that is being selfish. The baby girl appears in front of Ren again. She is joining a conference on "operational expansion" . Ren thinks that the conference is just a chance for Ren to catch a glimpse of his daughter. He thinks that she is joining the conference as well. Ren believes that the commander of the imperial army has just launched an all-out attack on the planet, and he wants to know if the troops should be sent from the Galapagos or someplace else. Ren disagrees, saying that if they do not send reinforcements immediately, they will definitely lose at mount Garo. If they lose the battle, the city and the garrison of Garibo will fall.
