In this chapter, Millo explains that the mecha is not much different from the real thing. He compares it to the soft rubber doll, which was invented thousands of years ago. He also explains that he and Barnardo, a professor at the University of Illinois, co-invented it. The mecha has a liquid form, which is the same as the grass's cells. The only way to travel through the hyperspace is through it, and the only way for the earth to defend itself in battle is through hyperspace
