Six years later, the narrator graduates from college and finds a job in Washington, D. C., where he lives with his fiance, tuoyi, who is studying for his Ph.D. The couple moves to Baltimore, where they live in a small apartment. The narrator asks qiuqiu what she is looking at, and she tells him that she has already washed up, and that jiujiu is trying to seduce her again.
