In this chapter, the protagonist, named after a flower, is asked to solve a riddle at a dinner party. He tells his tutor, Tan Bai, that he has a smart brain and that he can always meet his father's expectations. He explains that the boy in front of him is tuo tao takada, but he smiles when he smiles, perhaps because of a Japanese father. The willfulness that his father gave him has given him space to breathe under his parent's control. Three years later, he complains to his tutor that being with him is exhausting, and that they should break up. He moves to the city, but can't escape from his parents. He says that love is a game to relieve boredom. The students are using self study time to play "wolfer" , and he says that he is being punished for standing there. After that, he says, he had done "some tricks" to get him to pursue him for half a year. The next song is written by himself. He asks Tan Bai why he told her this all of sudden, and she tells him that she was thinking of him.
