Back at the school, the teacher and the student reminisce about the past five years. The teacher tells the student that he is glad to see her again. He tells her that he has two more classes left to go. The student tells the teacher that she and the teacher had broken up three months before. He then tells the story of how he had pursued her for a year and then she had dumped him. He says that she had to repeat her first grade class because she had just moved from Japan to the United States. This is the reason that the two of them are now in the same classroom. He also tells the girl that she has not even scored 70 marks for her toefl test. He asks her if she really wants to go to the university, but she tells him that she loves him and that she will let him go.
