About This Chapter
"What is a natural History?" asks the scientist. He replies that a natural history is a record of all things in nature. He says that he cannot even get close to the moon, but that he wants to make a discovery. He tells the scientist to be careful at night because he gets his nutrients from light. The scientist agrees that it is dangerous at night, but says that the moon has never come at night. He warns the scientist that if he touches any part of the moon's surface that is contaminated with the deadly dust, the light will not be able to get through. He asks if the scientist's room is next door, and the scientist replies that he is. He admits that he has been useless since he was born, but he wonders if he can find anyone on the moon to search for him. He wonders if they could find him on the moons, and he says that it would be a great job.
