In this chapter, we learn that sensei and the "gallant puppet" have been trying to find out what role they should play in the battle. The two men have been talking about it for a long time, and now they're finally going to do it. But first, they have to explain why they should do this. They're going to fight off the "hunters" who have come to the moon from the other planets to destroy the creatures that live on the moon. It's going to be a lot of hard work, they say, but they'll do it anyway.
