In this chapter, we learn that Yomagishi has killed fifty-three men, mostly under the command of Yamagishi, and that he has also killed a human head. Mishima and his father are worried about the situation, and Mishima tells his father that he should kill him and move on. He tells Mishima that if they get help, they should be able to get the army back on Yosagi's side against him again, even if they kill most of the men. He asks Mishima not to be naughty, but Mishima does not want to be a naughty boy, and says that he is sorry that he had to go, but that he will come back with Mishima if Mishima wants to go as far as he can get. He apologizes for scaring Mishima, saying that he did not mean to scare Mishima.
