Inspector Hirama tells Mishima that the monster is completely different from the one he saw the other day. Mishima wonders why no one notices him when he's out in the public, and wonders how the creature could be up to no special powers. He's also worried that the creature might be an ordinary baby, but Mishima doesn't think it's a big deal, since the monster was raised by an ordinary monster. He thinks the monster might be a killer, and Mishima is sure that he was. He says that Mishima was only an in-betweener before all of this, and that now that they have two scanners, he doubts they need them.
