He's not sure if this was the cause they were fighting for, but he was fighting to protect his family back home after they left Mars. Now he doesn't know why he keeps fighting. He just wants to get back to his family. The ship is being attacked by the enemy, and the crew isn't able to get out of the way. The shock waves are coming from the ship, but the crew is still unable to get away. They can hear the sound of the ship's engines, but there's no response from the enemy.
