On the same day, the war between Jack and Koryomi is nearing its end. The two men reminisce about the scrapyard days, when they used to be reporters for the paper. Now they're both prisoners of Jack, and they've been assigned to keep a record of the battle. They're going to make their own originals, they say, and then they'll build their own cities after Jack's gone. They don't know what to do with their lives after Jack is gone, but they can't help feeling guilty about selling some of his pictures to the authorities. They can''t stop talking about how awesome it would be to be a cyborg, but then they realize that it's just a way to die.
