In this chapter, we learn that Dr. Nova's lab is in the process of being destroyed, and that he has found a way to repair it. We learn that this is the same lab where Dr. Azevedo's brain was found, and we also learn that the same person who found the brain is now the owner of the same laboratory. Dr. nova's name is Alphonse, and he's here to buy back his body. He's also here to find out more about the person who owns the laboratory, whom he calls "the walling" . He wants to know what the man is like. He also wants to learn more about his research, which is called "nanotech nology." He'd like to know why the professor is doing this, and what the purpose of his research is. He says that everything in the world is a failure, and the only thing that can be done is to destroy it. He asks if it's possible for humans to rule over their own karma, and if that's even possible, then what's the point of this research? He also asks if the man's mission is to bring back the dead body of zapan, who was found in the brain. He tells the professor to plant three flower seeds in each of the holes in the wall, and then he asks if something happened to zapan. The professor says that something must have happened, but he doesn't know why. He goes on to say that he'll have to go and pick up the dead brain, because he has to go pick it up now.
