This chapter opens with a description of the abduction of Tokamaru at age ten. The narrator explains that the abduction took place 16 years ago. He tells us that his daughter, who is now twenty-one years old, has been trained in every way possible to survive in the new world. When he tells her the truth about what has happened to her, she becomes the "warrior of them all" . This chapter ends with the narrator's declaration that they have recovered the two women and are on their way to safety.
