Back at the factory, Bato wonders if the brigade knows they're there. He's sure they've seen them, but he doesn't know if it's because they saw them or because they heard them. Bato's got a hunch: he hears a voice from the control tower, and it sounds like a woman in the control room. He also hears a gun shot fired from the tower, which sounds like it came from someone in the tower. He can't figure out who the woman is, and he wonders if she's the one leading the men into the factory. He figures out that the men are creeping him out of the factory because they know he's hiding there. They're not safe, he says, and they need to find out what's bothering them.
