The seventh witch, Evelyn, has found her way back to the present, and she's thrilled to be able to travel back in time. But Evelyn is still a fifth witch, she says, because she can't go back to a time when there are no trees to kill. She's also a little different from the other fifth witches, she tells Evelyn. She was attacked by the fifth witch's friend, Erik, in the forest, and the book she was using to ward off the attack also helped her survive. Evelyn says she feels like she doesn't belong in this world, and that she can take back the power that she gave to the other witch, the fourth witch, and use it whenever she wants. She tells the other witches to leave her alone for a bit, and then she tells them to knock on the door of the house where her friend is staying. She says that her friend's leaving for dinner, and they should knock on her door to find out what's up. They don't hear her knocking, and so she leaves.
