It's time for the witch and the princess to set off together. The king and queen love the princess, but they don't know what's going to happen to her on the day of the encounter. The witch says she'll take her to the rift, but first she wants to know what the princess's name is. She's never seen the princess ask for help before, so she's not sure what to expect. Aunt bony says that the witch doctor has come with her to check on Carla, who's been injured in a fight at school. She says that Carla's eye has been blinded, and the girl has become a disabled person because of it. The princess says she was seriously injured in the fight, but she still looks livelier than she expected. She asks the witch if she has a right to stop the princess from meeting with her family, but the witch says that she has no right to do so. The two of them tie up their hair so that they won't be able to separate.
