It's been seven years since Tilden and Tilden's marriage, and now Tilden is ready to "farewell" to his former lover. He tells Tilden that he's happy to be rid of his "emotional baggage" , and that he hopes Tilden will be well. Tilden, however, is still not over Tilden. He says that he won't let Tilden "love someone else" if that's what Tilden wants.
