The Governess tells the Governess that she will personally guard Guinevere during her stay in the city. She also tells Guineveres that assassins have been sent after her, but she does not know who sent them. She asks the Master of the Secret Service if he is aware of this. The Master replies that he is, and that he once investigated the matter, but he did not find out who sent assassins after her. He asks the Mistress if she is guilty of admitting her guilt, and the Mistress replies that she is. He tells the Mistress that she even put him on the spot, as expected, and she asks him if he sensed something. He says that he sensed that she was not happy with him and that she wanted to kill him. The Mistress tells him that she has a question for him. She wants to know how much he knows about Guinever. She says that she heard him mention his name when he was talking to the Mistress, and this woman looked at her. She tells the Master that she knows him from familia, and asks him why he has dropped the courtesy. He answers that he knows him, as he is a friend of Guinevers majesty. She then asks him whether he knows her, and he tells her that he does. He then asks her why she has come to see him, and when she tells him he is an old friend, he says he would not dare to do
