The next morning, Ming asks Su if he has managed to escape from the capital. Su replies that he has, and that the people he saw that day felt familiar to him. He tells Ming to go to the city gate and notice the murderer, and to tell the authorities that if they believe they have wronged him, they should bring the murderer to Ming's house so that he will be cleared of his name.
