The doctor apologizes to Wee Ming for his rudeness. He says that he simply wants to know if the ghost is responsible for killing his daughter. The doctor says that if he does not take a bath for a few days, it is not a big deal since he prefers to keep himself clean. He then asks how he plans to find the murderer. Ming says that his wife and he will help him find the real killer. Ming then asks if his daughter was wearing the kind of clothes Ming is wearing. Ming replies that she was wearing plain clothes and that she would never wear the expensive brocade clothes Ming was wearing. He also says that Ming tried to run away from home with someone, but Ming could not figure out how she could have gotten away with such a thing. Ming concludes that Ming murdered his daughter because he was in love with her. Ming and his wife say that they have not found any jewelry in Ming's room.
