When Henry hears the thud of his father's footsteps, he realizes that his mother is gone. He tries to thank his father, but he is too upset to do so. He asks his father to take him home and to take care of him. He tells Henry that he loved his mother and that he will be by his side whenever he needs him. Henry says that he is happy that they are talking like this and that they can forget all about the past.
