About This Chapter
The narrator tells Oswald that he's glad to see him, because it'll make him feel better. Oswald tells him that he looks like a kid, and that he reminds him of a man named Sam. Oswald says that he can't tell Sam that because of an accident, but he still likes the idea of him playing baseball with him. Oswald asks Oswald why he doesn't want to tell Sam about the accident, and Oswald replies that it's because he wants to be alone. Oswald then asks Oswald if he'll have to call Sam again if he gets drunk, and he says he can take him home. Oswald is relieved, because he thought he might have given himself away to Sam. He asks Oswald about the kind of relationship he has with Sam, and she says that's the reason she was worried she might have said something weird. Oswald apologizes, and says that when he first met Oswald, he only thought of him as a person who reminded him of someone else. He says that if he no longer feels comfortable around Oswald, then he'd feel " thudded seth" . Oswald admits that he is fine, and asks if he looks at him that way because he thinks he is a kid.
