In this short scene, we are introduced to Henry and Sam, two young men who have fallen in love with one another. The two of them are in the middle of a conversation about the weather, and Henry asks Sam if he is buying them hot dogs. Sam says no, and the two men begin to argue about whether or not they should run for it in the blazing heat. Henry says that he can hear Sam's heart beating so fast that he thinks he is in pain, and Sam responds by laughing at him.
