The narrator tells Henry that Sam is not with him because he's leaving soon. Henry tells him that he'll have to go home and rest. He's worried that if he had been like Sam, things would have turned out the way they did. He wonders if he would have been as innocent and honest as Sam. Henry says that he needs to get back to his place and rest before he leaves. He tells him to head back to the hotel. He says that it's only a matter of time before he sees Sam again.
