About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that he's going to meet up with Henry at his house. He's not going to wait for him on the phone, though. He wants to go to Henry's house and play a game with him. Henry isn't his friend, so he doesn't need him. The narrator says that he and Henry used to be friends when they were kids, but that they've had other friends since then. He says he'll wait for Henry after practice today. He tells the narrator that he likes that Henry needed him the night before, and that suddenly all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. He asks if Henry really needs him anymore, and the narrator sighs. He thinks that maybe his mom is going to call on him tonight, and she's invited him to dinner that night. He worries that maybe Henry is talking to his mom, but the narrator reassures him by saying that she'll be fine, and they'll meet up the next day.
