This chapter opens with a conversation between Sam and Henry. Sam asks Henry if he has been seeing someone, and Henry replies that he has, but that he is not sure if it is someone he likes or not. He tells Sam that he likes him, and that he does not want to push him away, but he does want more from him. Sam wonders if Henry is being too impatient, and he wonders if he is trying to win him over. Henry tells him that there is a car coming, and Sam wonders why he feels so cold. He says that it is thanks to his bedside manner that he was able to get over his cold in only two days. He asks Sam what he did while he was gone, and she says that she tried to surprise him. She says that Henry is truly loved, but she asks if he knows that.
