This chapter opens with a brief description of the events that have taken place in the past few days. We are introduced to a number of characters who have been involved in the events of the previous chapter. The first person we meet is a young man named "tang shuo", who has just returned from his first meeting with "mo beiyi" . We learn that he is a member of the Ming family, and that he has been injured in a car accident. He is now in the care of his uncle, the "tang family villa" , and he has not been able to contact his family since the accident. The young man asks his uncle if he can still see him, and his uncle replies that he will not be able to since he is preoccupied with his brother and company. He then asks his son "lun xuan" to tell his parents what is going on between him and "zhou yuanfeng." He tells his father that he wants to be with "yuanfeng" no matter what his parents say, but that he knows that his father will be worried as well. He asks his father to give him time to accept the proposal, and the young man says he will go and rest.
