He is a lawless man, and he is afraid of being arrested if he accidentally kills someone. He tells the audience that if he were to accidentally kill someone, he would be covered by the family's large corporation, which would make it impossible for him to escape punishment. He asks the audience to reconsider their decision to kill him.
