After the assassination, jingning takes the opportunity to force daolin to show up at the palace. He tells daolin that he has decided something after the incident. He asks daolin why he got up, and daolin tells him that he needs not his "cheesy love" but "the responsibility, ambition, and justice" . He says that he will be back soon, but that there are still "court affairs" for him to solve. He then asks if daolin is "reluctant to my decision" , but daolin says he is too happy to tell him what he wants to hear. He promises to return soon.
