This chapter opens with a conversation between Cai Ming and Cai Ming's brother, daolin. Cai Ming tells his brother that he wants to know why Cai Ming is running away from the palace. He tells daolin that Cai Ming has asked him to take Cai Ming out of his palace. When daolin tells Cai Ming that he does not want Cai Ming to run away, Cai Ming replies that it is the only way for him to keep the people from knowing what is going on. He then tells Cai that he has been imprisoned in the palace and that he will never be free
