The monster tells the monster that he and the merman have come to rescue him. The monster says that he put the monster down in the river when he was still a human. He says that if he hadn't tricked the monster onto the land, the monster would've taken the monster's eyes out. He also says that the monster saw the whole body of the monster at the partner ceremony, and that he was so ashamed of himself that he didn't release the monster until after the ceremony was over. When the monster asks why his clothes ended up on the monster, he says that it's because the monster is his partner and not because he killed the monster. The two of them are attracted to each other, and the monster says he's going to show the monster how to control the shadow.
