About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a soliloquy in which the narrator tells the audience that he wants the reader to know that he does not want them to abandon him. He wants them to find a lifestyle they like and live for themselves. He tells the reader that he will not let them die. He says that if he were to die, then they would lose their direction and he would not be able to get it back again. If he were dead, then the reader would lose his direction again. The narrator says that he is not going to let the reader abandon him, because he wants him to live for himself. He offers the reader the possibility of starting a flower shop, a cat café, or a traditional Chinese medicine massage establishment. He also says that they can leave the cave before they have their new life. He explains that it is not easy to escape from the cave because the wind and the pressure of the cave mouth are too strong. They will stay in the caves for the rest of their life. The two of them lie down in the cave and the narrator asks the reader if he is going to fight for freedom. The man replies that he would fight for it if he could. He adds that they should take a bath together for three days. He asks the man to take a look at a way down into the cave. He realizes that the cave is just like a game and that he wanted to find the man after he realized that he could turn himself into a man. He then tells the story of how the man dug a hole for five days in order to get to the top of the mountain. The balluan mountain is like a giant water wrapped by rocks. The hole is just as big as a minecraft game. The story continues with the narrator explaining that the man is trapped by the villagers shortly after arriving in the village because he has already been distrusted by them. He is the one who cares for the man and he is the only one who can find him
