In this short chapter, the young narrator, Henry, tries to find out where his father is. He's worried that he's been scared by a cat, which he thinks is a ghost. He tells his father that he doesn't believe the story of the missing little girl, which is based on a rumor that a ghostly figure grabbed his feet when he was a kid. He also says that the ghost story is "all fake" and that he is afraid that the cat is going to jump out of the park and kill him. Henry tries to explain to his daughter that he has been acting weird because he is so popular on the social network Weibo that the author of the story is jealous of him. He says that he wants to go back to school with her, but his father won't let him.
