About This Chapter
The chapter ends with a soliloquy by Cai Ming--"last judgment for you"--in which Cai Ming compares himself to a broken star. He tells Cai Ming that he has only five minutes to run away. He admits that he rejected Cai Ming when he first met him in college. He then went on to become an actor, an entertainment reporter, and a married man. He says that he is sorry that Cai Ming pesters him with negative news about him. Cai Ming apologizes, saying that his first light of his life was from Cai Ming, and that he took it back, but that he will always have a "new light shining" in his life. He asks Cai Ming to look out for himself, because "prejudices and labels" are torn apart, and Cai Ming reminds him that he owes Cai Ming a family. He sends an invitation to Cai Ming's wife through his cell phone, and then orders a package for Cai Ming and his family at a popular restaurant in the city. The package includes a ticket to the restaurant, which will be booked during the next few days, and the restaurant will not be able to show any of the hot gossips of the day, or you will be fired. In exchange, Cai Ming promises to tell Cai Ming all about the sex scandal.
