About This Chapter
When the empress is assassinated, she gives the box to her chief monk. She asks the monk to give it back to the descendants of the royals when they return. The monk tells the story of how he and his men stumbled upon the secret passage, but they didn't find anything like a giant gate. The director is offended by the monk's story and decides to go back to find the treasure himself. He tells the director that he's still not getting along with his brother. He also tells him that the royal family's secret document will be revealed at the royal party. He says that he doesn't yet know what he wants to know, but he does know that it's a secret document. He asks the director to prepare all the necessary equipment for the robbery. He then tells the audience that he is trying to do "a sacred thing" by revealing the secret. He's worried that the director is going to interfere in his love affairs.
