About This Chapter
In this short scene, we learn that the director of the antique shop has gone to the police station to tell them what happened. He tells them that the surveillance cameras at the shop have captured the crime scene and that they have a witness. He also says that the shop has a "personal security system" , which is a fancy way of saying that it has a special system for protecting its employees from harm. The director tells the group that he knows the woman will react the way she did, and he decides to call the police. He says that he knew the woman would react in this way, and that she is giving him a headache. The group asks the director if he is a historian, and the director replies that he is not. He explains that he went through the entire office and found all the sachet that looked like the one they were looking for. He asks the group if they are praying to the sachet, and they reply that they are. The man says that it is just something his father left behind, and someone was killed because of it. The men are furious, but the director says that they also have something important to explain. He wants to know why the sachet came first, and why they lied to him first. He doesn't want to hand over the sachet to a stranger, he says, because it is a dangerous world, and there is no way that they would put a knife in his throat. He demands that the men explain why the sachets are so important, and what should they do now. They whisper an emergency meeting. The secretary, joo young chul, introduces himself as the secretary at the National Culture Museum run by the Lee Young Group
