About This Chapter
Aunt Ju says that the Mid-Autumn Festival will begin allocating lots for food stalls the next day. She tells Aunt Ju that the best thing her father has done all his life was bringing Aunt Ju into the family. Aunt Ju tells her that she has prepared the stall applications for the festival as well. She says that she deliberately put Aunt Ju's stall on top so that she will be able to participate in the festival. She then says that Aunt Ju will be leaving first so that he can go off to deal with some other business matters. She asks if he plans to give Aunt Ju the best stall space as a gift. The festival stall spaces are randomly assigned by the government, but Aunt Ju thinks that it would be a good idea to have someone else on the lookout so that the government won't know that he's messing with the lot to be drawn. He thinks that if Aunt Ju can get the stall space across from a theater troupe, then she can watch the show secretly. He says that if she can sneak across, then he'll be a "devious little scoundrel" and she'll have the opportunity to watch him secretly. The magistrate has arrived and they're going to draw lots for the stalls
