The Governess and the Governess go to see Viola, who is crying because she is afraid of the slippery bricks on which she has fallen in love. They are interrupted by the arrival of officers from the Governor's office who want to search the premises for evidence of Viola's crime. When they arrive, Viola is overcome with emotion and runs away.
