About This Chapter
The piano boy is bored with school and wants to play the piano. He notices that the piano player is skipping class and playing weird music. He asks why he likes the girl so much, and the piano boy replies that he likes her because she's younger and less likely to fall for him now that he's older. The boy says he'll go check out the school's summer tournment team, which is on its way to Europe. He says he doesn't want to ruin the team's chances, but he does want to try the piano for the first time. He's so excited that he can't wait to try it. He tells the piano teacher to keep the piano away from the children's room so that it won't get wet. The piano teacher says that's a good idea, since the piano is supposed to be kept dry. He also tells the boy to keep his nose on the piano so he can hear the piano keys moving. He compares the boy's mood to that of a child who falls in love with a toy. He then goes on to say that people like him fall in love and live their lives with the things in their lives that make them happy
