About This Chapter
"So i really got to hit you, as hard as I can" , the narrator tells us. He's got a lot on his plate: he's going to the prom, which means he'll have to pay for it. Plus, he got to see her "at your worst" . He tells us that he hopes they can still get along. He also says that he has a boyfriend now, too, and that he'd like to take some of his photo booth stickers with him to make it look like they're in love with each other. The narrator says that it would be better if they could all get along like it is now. He says that they'll make dinner, and then he asks if she'll give him a kiss before bed. She doesn't, and he says that she's acting "all weird and rigid" and needs to "help relieve that tension" before they go to bed. He wants to know what's up with this guy before he goes to sleep, and she says that's not the case. He asks if they can have a chest-composes , and they agree to do it. They're on their way home from work, and the narrator says it's nice to be on the bridge with her. She tells him that she wants to enjoy the view with him, and says that getting to be with him is "just happy" and "what's wrong" with that. She says that the kiss she gave him wasn't "a real kiss" and that she won't close her mouth to him. She adds that she will never "let go of" her father's hand. She's heard from her father that he hates his daughters and that his daughters are "tyranny"
