They both agree that it's a good idea to go out and have a good time. The younger man says that his mom has been coming to stay with him and his three sisters, and that they've all abandoned him. He's jealous of the two young men's close relationship. He asks the landlord to take his sister home, but the landlord refuses, saying he has enough to drink.
