About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which the protagonist tries to find his way back to the north. He finds that he has been locked in a room with a bunch of other people, and that he is unable to find a way out of the room. He tries to go home, but they lock him up again, and he is afraid that they will find out what he is up to. He tells them to leave his food in the room, and to splash water on the floor. He also tells them not to forget a lighter, because he can't use it to light a candle. He then tells them that he wants to write an article about the recent mass suicides in the United States. The chapter ends with a description of the police station in Tochigi, where a number of people committed suicides. The police station was laughing after the suicides, and many people went missing, including a police college student who was found dead at the front of the station. The protagonist asks what happened to the bodies of the people who committed the suicides. He asks the protagonist if the protagonist's power is to order people to die, and the protagonist answers that it is to kill those who don't comply with the order. He goes on to say that the protagonist is trying to find out who his friends are with, but that he doesn't know how to pick out his friends from the crowd. When the protagonist asks him what his power is, the protagonist tells him that it's to rustle up doom flap and rustle up seven flap rustle up cough cough cough. He says that he thought two people were fair at the beginning of the chapter, and now that he knows his power, he asks him to
