Back at school, Hiro and em>Sanyo/em> are all excited to see their old friend back. Hiro says that the cops let him out of jail pretty quickly, so he's glad to see him back. He also says that his name tape looks weird, which means that his mother probably didn't want to do it. Hiro tells him to be nice and to skip class. He says that he'll protect his mother from him. Hiro then says that even though they're trying, suicides aren't as bad as they used to be. He's starting to feel a little numb. He tells us that before the party starts, he wants to tell Hiro something about how he hasn't improved in the past few years. First, he says, he used to cause trouble at school but he was always by Hiro's side. Then he says that Hiro seems to be acting a little weird, but he doesn't think it's because he suddenly changed into a different person. He wants to take him with him to his sister's house, where she's waiting for them. Hiro grabs his sister by the neck, but she won't let him.
