The next morning, hongyo tells Teymurabi that he wants to sleep with him, but that he has to finish his novel before he can do so. He also says that he is going to stay away from her until he is done with his novel, and that he does not want to tell her about the arrangement he made with Hase. He says that if they do break up the condo, he will invite her out for dinner, and she will think about it. She says that she is not sure she would have gone so far if she had not been afraid of the pain, the anxiety, and the stay with him. She thinks that he must have tricked her into thinking that she would be looking for another way out of the relationship, and now that she knows this, she will not go so far. She tells him that she will be joining them the next day, and he asks her if she has changed her mind. She replies that she has, and then she tells him how she planned the whole thing, and how she wished that she had just dumped him and come to her.
