It's morning, and Akari is in the middle of a conversation with Hongyo. She's not sure what to make of the fact that he's still hanging around, but she's glad to be home. She tells him that she doesn't want to be a burden to him, and that she wants to get on with her life. Hongyo, however, isn't so sure. He's worried that Akari's been hanging around too long, and he wants to know why she hasn't gotten along with him yet. Akari says that she can't understand why he'd want to hang around so long, especially since he seems like a nice guy. She also says that if she were to leave, she'd be fine with that, since most people wouldn't care if she was worth less than they think she is. She thinks that's because most people just want to get along and not care what Akari thinks of them. She wonders if she'll be able to make up with him if she leaves, and wonders if he'll ever look down on her, or feel sorry for her. She feels like she is a "toy" out of a box or a pack of tissues, and she wonders if it's okay for him to say that he needs her, too, since no one else is going to do the same thing for him.
